For years I have had a genuine interest in cognitive processing and how trauma and disease of the brain alters mental and behavioral functioning. I work full time with youth, adolescents, and families that have severe and complex mental health needs. My time so far as a professional in the mental health field I have seen and heard some of the most unthinkable and heartbreaking stories and scenarios. As my own form of processing and productive coping I write about my experiences, learning opportunities, and controversial topics as they relate to Mental Health. My hope is to bring education and awareness to the Mental Health issues that people all over the world face, fight, and overcome every single day.
